Ann M. McGowan is a seasoned healthcare executive and interim leader specializing in clinical quality improvement, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance. With more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience across hospitals, health systems, and patient safety organizations, she has directed quality and safety initiatives for facilities ranging from critical access hospitals to large multi-hospital systems.

Ann has successfully guided organizations through Joint Commission, CMS, and Department of Health surveys; implemented Lean Six Sigma and TeamSTEPPS methodologies; and led strategic projects improving event reporting, accreditation readiness, and safety culture. She previously served as Executive Director of the Nebraska Coalition for Patient Safety and has held senior leadership roles with BE Smith, Centura Health, and Carson Tahoe Health.

Ann holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University New Orleans and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University. She is a Certified Professional in Patient Safety and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, combining operational expertise with a deep commitment to advancing quality and safety across healthcare systems.
